MUIRFIELD RIDING THERAPY (MRT) is a small but mighty East Lothian charity, established in 1989; we provide pioneering riding therapy sessions, free, to children and adults. Our Riders are people with a wide range of disabilities and life-affecting conditions, both physical and mental. We are a member group of Riding for the Disabled.
TEAMWORK is part of our charity ethos and our Kiltwalk Team is no different; OUR EDINBURGH KILTWALK TEAM 2018 is made up of people from all parts of our charity; our Trustees and Board members, our Operating Group, our Session volunteers, Friends and Families. We have chosen THE BIG STROLL route which is 15.5 miles.
WE ARE VOLUNTEER-LED AND FULLY SELF-FUNDED, so the Kiltwalk and the Sir Tom Hunter Foundation is a fantastic and generous opportunity for us to make the most of your sponsorship.
PLEASE SPONSOR US :-)
All of your sponsorship, plus an additional 40% will come to us thanks to the Sir Tom Hunter Foundation. You will be helping us keep our service free of charge, and allow more people to access Riding Therapy, which benefits so many.
THERAPEUTIC RIDING AND HIPPOTHERAPY (specialist physiotherapy on horseback) provide multiple life-changing physical, learning, behavioural and social benefits to Riders thanks to the movement, warmth and rhythm of the horse.
